The Role

OVERVIEW

The Core Search team sits within our Performance Practice and is responsible for
managing and optimising the search engine results for our clients. We manage the
strategy, planning, implementation, optimisation, reporting and post campaign analysis
for all search activity. We are responsible for the paid search accounts and SEO
recommendations for some of Irelands leading brands, ensuring that our collective
clients receive the best possible outcomes from their investment in search advertising.

The purpose of this role is to support the Search Manager(s) and Senior Search
Manager(s) in the day to day running of the Paid Search accounts. Part of the remit is
working collaboratively with all our Practices to create and assist in the creation of
award-winning campaigns that deliver real results for our clients.

This role requires someone who is highly numerate and analytical. Excellent verbal and
written communication skills, innovative and creative thinking and quality control of
output will also be critical to this role.

Responsibilities/ Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
Central to this role is supporting Search Managers and Senior Search Managers as they
oversee the running of our clients Search accounts. This includes managing the day-to-
day marketing activities for a variety of client campaigns across multiple search
engines. These tasks include campaign implementation, optimisation, regular and ad
hoc performance reporting including interpretation of data and making
recommendations /improvements, budget management, ad copy creation and testing,
billing and client communication.
Success will be defined at the year-end RADAR client service review in improvement in
Paid Search and the impact of Search on the client’s business. It will also be defined by
positive score and feedback in the individuals yearly 360 Qualtrics report.

PRACTICE PERFORMANCE 
• Generating reports that deliver actionable insight for clients
• Listens actively to understand client needs
• Creating and developing world class search campaigns that are based on best
practice as taught through initial search training by Core
• Enthusiasm to build knowledge of our industry and what we do
• Know where to source information and continuously seek new sources
• Excellent attention to detail in every aspect of what we do
• Thinking creatively about solutions to problems
• Upskilling in all platforms and technology used by search team
• Make time to understand the business, business goals and KPI’s of their clients

COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE 
• Ensures all search campaigns are billed correctly and that billing is up-to-
date, liaising with relevant parties to achieve this
• Ensure timesheets are updated weekly and that they accurately reflect the
time spent on our client’s business
• Ensure excellence in output for our clients through quality control
processes
• Deliver high quality reports demonstrating exceptional attention to detail
• Work with the Search Managers and Senior Search Managers to add extra
value to the search campaign that we create for clients through innovation
and ideation
• Respond promptly to all requests for assistance and keep on top of all
search team needs

TALENT MANAGEMENT
• Commit to the internal Core Learning programme(s) and regularly attend
training for your development
• Helping to drive and build culture, creating a fun working and learning

• Collaborate closely with the Senior Search Manager and Search Director to
ensure your personal development requirements are met

Your profile

EXPERIENCE
• No previous experience of Search Engine Marketing is required but an interest
in PPC, SEO, Digital Media and Media is essential
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel and
PowerPoint
• High level of business acumen
