The Role

OVERVIEW

This role assumes responsibility for managing the integration of digital aspects of the media
planning activity and providing digital strategy planning insights for multiple client
accounts within their client team. It requires management of processes, excellent attention
to detail and time management skills to ensure best in class delivery on behalf of the media
team for clients. This role supports the Digital Client Director in fostering strong
relationships with clients.

The role requires an ambitious, creative and innovative person who prides themselves on
building strong and trustworthy client relationships. Digital Senior Client Managers require
strong collaboration and communication with the wider team, particularly Social, Search and
Programmatic teams in Investment. The ideal candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced
environment with a drive to succeed and can multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere.

Responsibilities 

This role will have the responsibility of developing the digital media rationale for their clients
which, in turn, must be aligned to the overall strategic direction of the client. This role will
also be the key day to day client contact and will ensure that all media decisions are made
using a robust process powered by the appropriate media planning tools. Central to this role
is a clear understanding of digital media planning principles, an ability to articulate the
strengths and weaknesses of each media channel and the role that each will play in delivering
on the overall strategy. 
This role will also establish the KPIs for the media plan and will ensure
that all important information is clearly shown on the plan for client approval. The Digital
Senior Client Manager will also manage the implementation and delivery of the digital media
plan and will perform the required Quality Control to ensure that the plan produced matches
the media rationale and the objectives set.

Success will be defined at the yearend RADAR client service review in improvement in media
planning and the impact of media ideas on the client’s business.

AGENCY PERFORMANCE
• Understanding of the key business challenge for their clients as well as the
digital media strategy to help address these challenges
• Responsibility for delivery of the digital media rationale and the digital media plan
to align with the overall media strategy
• Participate in planning sessions and work with the Digital Client Director to
deliver an integrated media response to the client briefs
• Input into Macro channel budget setting as well as establishing the media KPIs
for briefing to Investment teams
• Development of digital media brief and the coordination of internal briefings
across Core Practices and Central Teams
• Day to day client service and working closely with the Digital Client Manager
to deliver to deadlines
• Manage the quality control of the media plan to ensure that it matches the brief
and the media rationale and that all relevant KPIs, target audiences and objectives
are clearly outlined on the plans
• Ensure any audit recommendations that have been agreed by Business Director and
Client Director with auditor are implemented on all media plans, including working with
Channel Planning and Investment teams to manage
• Working with Digital Client Managers to ensure plans are audit ready and KPI
document is up to date for each audit
• Adopt and embrace an accuracy culture by having and supporting excellent
attention to detail
• Manage the intra-campaign reporting and optimisation with the specialist teams
• Work with the client to change plans / budget allocation where necessary
• Liaise with client to obtain plan approval
• Engage with media owners & working with them to deliver partnerships in
an efficient and collaborative manner
• Responsible for digital activity at audit

COMMERCIAL PERFORMANCE
• Demonstrate a strong comprehension of the client’s business and their KPIs
• Ensure all projects are delivered on time and on budget
• Manage media budgets across all plans and Practice areas
• Have a clear understanding of the scope of the client contracts including the
key performance metrics
• Ensure all billing is 100% accurate and on time for clients, and particularly on
new specialised service projects
• Work with the Digital Client Manager, Finance and Digital Client Director to
monitor and manage aged debt, ensuring clients pay in a timely fashion
• Ensure timesheets are updated weekly and that they accurately reflect the
time spent on our clients business
• Work with Digital Client Director to monitor profitability and revenue targets
for your clients
• Garner insight needed for the development of the media strategy

TALENT MANAGEMENT 
• Commit to the internal Core Learning programme(s) and regularly attend training
for your development
• Collaborate closely with the Digital Client Director to ensure your
personal development requirements are met
• Ensure a strong comprehension and commitment to your career development
plan in line with your 360 appraisal, quarterly catch up’s and goals
• Assist in the management and development of junior team members while
adhering to the performance management process in place

Your profile

EXPERIENCE

• Previous digital media experience in a similar role, with a proven track record
in media planning and buying
• Previous experience working with digital media tools
• Knowledge of the broader digital disciplines
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience project managing large scale, complex media campaigns is essential
• High level of business and financial acumen
• Possess good presentation skills – assist in presenting to clients

Salary Range

48,000-56,000 DOE
