The Role

Please note this a 1 year Fixed Term Contract, part-time (average of 20hours per month), out of office hours.

OVERVIEW 
The Part-Time Community Manager is responsible for delivering best-in-class community management and social content support across client brands, ensuring they are consistently present, responsive and culturally relevant outside of core business hours. 
Operating at the frontline of how brands show up day to day on social, this role combines real-time social listening, audience engagement and content creation. It requires a strong understanding of platform behaviours, social trends and audience expectations, alongside the ability to make informed decisions on when and how a brand should participate in conversations. 

This is a part-time, out-of-hours role covering: 
  • 6pm-9pm weekday evenings
  • 10am-4pm weekends
At Core, community management is more than responding to comments. Community is viewed as a source of insight, a driver of content and a key contributor to performance. This role plays an important part in helping brands understand what is happening across social platforms, identify opportunities to engage and contribute to content that feels relevant, timely and native to each platform. 

Working closely with strategy, creative and performance teams, the role helps ensure community activity and social content are fully integrated into wider campaign delivery. Success is defined by the ability to balance responsiveness with good judgement, creating meaningful interactions while identifying opportunities that strengthen brand relevance and engagement. 
 
Responsibilities
CREATES THE FUTURE
  • Interpret social and cultural signals toidentifyemerging trends,opportunitiesand potential risks.
  • Monitor conversations, audiencebehaviourand cultural moments across social platforms.
  • Translate community insights into actionable recommendations for content and engagement.
  • Create and publish social-first content across TikTok, Instagram,Facebookand other relevant platforms.
  • Develop reactive,lo-fiand creator-style content informed by social listening and audience activity.
  • Support brands inparticipatingin relevant cultural moments ina timelyand authentic manner.
CONNECTS WITH AUDIENCES / CLIENTS 
  • Maintain an active presence across brand channels by monitoring comments, messages,mentionsand conversations.
  • Manage day-to-day community engagement, ensuring responses aretimely,relevantand aligned with brand tone of voice.
  • Apply sound judgement todeterminewhen to engage, escalate or step back from conversations.
  • Build audience engagement through thoughtful and human brand interactions.
  • Contribute to captions, responses and content formats that strengthen brand presence and consistency.
MANAGES THE BUSINESS 
  • Compile weekly and monthly social listening and community management reports.
  • Track engagement levels, audienceinteractionsand content performance.
  • Identifytrends,opportunitiesand areas for improvement across community activity.
  • Share learnings and insights with the wider team to improve future content and engagement strategies.
  • Maintainhigh levelsof organisation,accuracyand attention to detail across all activity.
  • Ensure community and content activity align with wider campaignobjectivesand business goals.
INSPIRES THE TEAM 
  • Work closely with social strategists, creatives,videographersand performance teams.
  • Contribute audience and community insights to content planning and campaign development.
  • Communicate emerging opportunities,trendsand risks to the wider team.
  • Support a collaborative and responsive team environment.
  • Share observations and learnings that help strengthen social content performance and overall team capability.

Your profile

Experience 
  • 1+ years' experience in community management and social content creation within an agency,freelanceor brand environment.
  • Experience managing live social channels and engaging directly with online communities.
  • Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, Facebook,Redditand emerging social platforms.
  • Ability toidentifytrends, culturalmomentsand content opportunities worth acting upon.
  • Experience creating lo-fi, platform-native content for social channels.
  • Strong copywriting skills for captions,responsesand community engagement.
  • Basic editing skills usingCapCutor similar editing tools would beadvantageous.

  • Excellent written communication skills with the ability to adapt tone of voice across multiple brands.
  • Strong understanding of social media culture,behavioursand emerging trends.
  • Highly organised, with the ability to manage multiple conversations and priorities simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working across both reactive and planned activity.
  • Strong judgement and confidence when making decisions in real time.
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring consistency and quality across all communications.
  • Collaborative and effective when working with cross-functional teams.
  • Curious,proactiveand culturally aware, with a genuine interest in social content and audience behaviour.
  • Comfortable working at pace within a fast-moving social environment.
